The Pratt family began moving with a horse and wagon business in the 1890’s. This local moving company moved anything that the customer needed.
In 1915, George Target, the son-in-law of Pratt purchased the company and renamed it “Target the Mover”. Business continued with horse and wagon until 1921, when the first truck was purchased. In 1945, George’s son-in-law Alex Campbell bought the company. At this point the company’s fleet consisted of two modern moving vans. Two years later, Alex’s brother Doug Campbell joined him in the business and they changed the name to Campbell Bros. Movers.
